Students in states with legal marijuana were 18% more likely to have consumed THC in the past month and 17% more likely to have done it frequently than students in states where weed remains illegal, researchers found.
University researchers find that legalization has significantly increased an ongoing rise in college-aged pot smokers — including both frequent and occasional consumers — while simultaneously quelling their thirst.
This number increased over time, too. Students in these states were more likely to have consumed more marijuana than their illegally puffing peers after six years of legalization.
These studies have quieted the na-sayers and have shed a brighter light on the legalization on THC products in other states.
